Nga whakataetae kapahaka kura tuarua o te motu 2024

Tena koutou e te Whanau, today in Maori we watched te roopu o te puu o te wheke.

They flew to Whakatuu all the way from Kaikohe which is where their from.

Their were 42 groups that stood for Nga whakataetae kapahaka kura tuarua o te motu 2024 and so far I think Te Puu o te wheke did the best but thats just my opinion.

They were probably one of the best groups that performed and i dont know what they placed but I think they would place first. The item that really stood out for me was the haka because it was different to the rest and the Kaitataki Tane was really funny, I reckon he carried the whole performance but other than that the whole roopu did amazing.

If I could go anywhere for free, where would I go.

To be honest, only places I wanna go is either Bali, Hawaii or Paris. Bali because it seems like such a nice place to relax and the beaches look so nice like WHAT!! and I always hear people say how nice it is there so yeah that is why. Now there is a lot of reasons why I wanna go to Hawaii, like, first of all who wouldn’t wanna go to Hawaii because have you seen the beaches!! and keep in mind, THIS IS ALL FREE!!. I also do have some reasons I would not go to Hawaii but ill save it for the end.

My Holiday

Kia ora everyone! okay so my holidays were very busy. The first week of holidays I was cooking every day and also cleaning every day because there were people doing our roof because it had holes in it and needed fixing, and they also did the road because we were sick of  walking through mud all the time and I didn’t have any gumboots so I was very happy when we got the covered in metal, so I had to do their breakfast, Lunch and dinner every day for the first week of holidays and it was very stressful lol. And the cleaning up after all the cooking was even worse. The second week we were cleaning out my aunties shed, which is where she sleeps, and believe me when I say it was very messy in there, it took three people to clean it and it took two days. And then the rest of the time we had to put up new walls and set up her room all over again which obviously took a while. The whole time I was doing all that work, I was babysitting at the same time. When I got to have a rest, I was either playing Roblox with my little cousin, training my dogs (I have six dogs by the way), very stressful Lol, slept, watched tv or play my phone. But yeah, that’s literally all I did all holidays, so I don’t think I’ll make it to five hundred words or even three hundreds.

About me

Hi, my name is Anahera, and I go to the Bay of Islands College.I am my mothers only child and my nans oldest moko. My mothers name is Toni-Whetu and my nans name is Pearl. I live in a beautiful place called Waikare and there is no place i’d rather be because It’s where I grew up.

I love my Maori culture and I’m not ashamed to say it because I believe that your culture is something to be proud of.I like to make huts up in the bush with sticks and leaves. I also like to cook stuff like fettuccine, lasagne, chicken meals etc.

My challenges for this year are to get better at Maths and get into more sports. My goals for this year are to achieve as much work as I can,and to learn more. I am looking forward to learning more about Ruapekapeka in Social Studies and learning more about my home in Waikare.

I personally want to achieve all my work that I have missed out on and at least lose 10 or more kgs by the end of this year
